Contributors and PR

Contributors have to have written at least three articles for Empoword before being accepted to go on a PR opportunity. Any contributors who cancel or fail to turn up to PR opportunities will be blacklisted from going to future opportunities on Empoword’s behalf.

Brand Interactions

All reviews will be free in exchange for honest reviews published on the website with links/clear mentions of the product or team that has gifted it to the contributor. Each review will have ‘#gifted’ in the top corner alongside the contributor’s name before the review begins.

The types of brand interactions we will consider:

  • Product reviews
  • Concert reviews
  • Album reviews
  • Visits and experience reviews

All PR opportunities must be presented to the Empoword PR managers via the email: empowordjournalism.pr@gmail.com. If they are not presented to the managers in this way, they will not be considered so please don’t send opportunities via social media or any other Empoword email.

All contributors who are given PR opportunities and wish to publish them via Empoword must declare them to our PR managers, failure to do so will have repercussions.

We will also not consider brand interactions that are already affiliated or supported by one of our contributors as we aim to be completely unbiased and independent.

The final say on any opportunities will be decided on by our Editor-in-Chief(s). 

All posts must be tagged with ‘PR’ or ‘Gifted’.

Paid Partnerships and Sponsorships

Bronze 

£1 one-off payment: alongside a review and a standard social media post about the article; a social media post (or reel) dedicated to the review or event.

Silver

£2 one-off payment: alongside all the above; an extra mention in a feature such as a roundup or a listicle or recommendations article. This article will have its own social media post highlighting the products or events featured in the round-up. In total, 1 review, 1 mention in a feature, 2 social media posts about the articles on the website, and 1 social media dedicated completely to the product/event.

Gold 

£5 for 6 months: all of the above, plus the brand’s logo featured on the website under a ‘sponsored by’ section as well as listed in our social media bios in the same way.
